Speqly vs Qted (2026): The Two AI Quoting Apps Compared
Qted is the closest thing Speqly has to a direct rival: both are AI-first quoting tools built for UK trades, both priced for sole traders, and both work from job photos — Qted's Vision feature identifies likely parts and labour scope from uploaded photos, and it also captures jobs by voice, video and text. So the real differences aren't "AI or not". They sit in what the client receives, what happens after acceptance, and how you pay.

The three differences that matter
1. What the client sees. Both tools use AI to build your side of the quote. Only Speqly changes the client's side: proposals are hosted pages with AI-generated before/after visualisations of the finished job and a one-tap accept button. For renovation trades — kitchens, bathrooms, driveways — showing the finished result is the single biggest conversion lever. Qted's AI works out scope and parts; it doesn't show your client what they're buying.
2. After acceptance. Speqly pushes the accepted job into Xero as a draft invoice — itemised lines, markup, VAT (QuickBooks Online support is in development). Qted has no accounting integration (checked 30 August 2026): its integrations are Stripe, Google Calendar, WhatsApp, SMS and email, so every accepted quote is retyped into your books by hand. If you run proper accounts, this difference compounds weekly.
3. How you pay. Qted is subscription-only, and the £29 Solo plan caps at 50 bookings a month. Speqly sells both ways: £79/month for steady volume, or credits from £7 per project that never expire — a quiet month costs nothing.
Where Qted wins
- Lowest standing cost for steady quoting (£29/month), with a generous three-months-free intro (card required).
- Voice and video capture, and WhatsApp/SMS delivery, built in.
- Booking management alongside quoting if you want light scheduling in the same tool.
Honest verdict
Both beat writing quotes by hand, and both put AI to real work. Pick Qted for the lowest monthly cost on high-volume work where a clean quote document is enough. Pick Speqly when presentation wins the job, when you quote irregularly, or when the quote needs to end up in Xero without retyping.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Qted cheaper than Speqly?
On monthly plans, yes: £29 vs £79. On actual usage it depends — three quotes in a month cost £21–£30 on Speqly credits with no standing fee, and Speqly's plan includes the client-facing visuals and accounting sync Qted doesn't offer at any price.
Does Qted work with Xero or QuickBooks?
No — as of 30 August 2026, Qted lists Stripe, Google Calendar, WhatsApp, email and SMS integrations only. Speqly pushes accepted jobs into Xero as draft invoices, with QuickBooks Online support in development.
Do both tools really quote from photos?
Both use photos: Qted Vision identifies likely parts and labour scope from job photos, and Speqly builds the full itemised, priced proposal — including the before/after visuals your client sees — from yours.
